Israelis and Palestinians are going to fly 10,000 Kites with their messages of peace to each other on April 27, 2005 at 4:00 pm in hundreds of locations on both sides of the 500-kilometer long barrier separating them. Elan's mother, Yael Samuel, is Executive Director of 10,000 Kites, and hired Elan to design the website not only because he has incredible design sense, but because Elan is representative of the future generation to whom 10,000 Kites ultimately belongs. As 10,000 Kites visionary and Artistic Director Adi Yekutieli says, "To ensure a brighter future for our children, it is our duty as activists to provide opportunities for collective expressions of peace and civility as an initial step for ending cycles of hate and violence."
