CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam)

The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) is required for all students graduating from a California high school beginning with the class of 2004.

The test has two main sections:
  • Reading/Writing and
  • Mathematics.
Each year, Samohi gives the CAHSEE to students.

If students pass one section of the test, they do not have to retake that section of the test again.

In the senior year, the test is given two times. If a student cannot pass the test, he or she cannot participate in graduation exercises or receive a diploma.
